The era of 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) is here, and we are looking to connect the next billion for Cisco at the India Mobile Congress. Cisco experts shared their knowledge and insights on mobile, internet, and technology while discussing trends like 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT).

At the India Mobile Congress 2018, Cisco was excited to showcase some of our new technologies and solution capabilities, which was all about building a transformative architecture and strategy that makes it easy to simplify, automate and virtualize today’s dynamic workflows. This event bought together the largest gathering of global professionals from the digital ecosystem, comprising 5G, IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI),

Smart Cities, start-ups in the technology space, and allied industry sectors. Cisco India saw a greater International presence with the participation of policymakers and regulators from partner countries in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectorial Technical and Economic Cooperation) regions.

What did Cisco do at IMC 2018?

This session of India Mobile Congress 2018 was an unparalleled focus on promoting future technologies and catalyzing innovation; IMC intends to introduce experiential technology zones, live demos, and insightful discussions on topics such as IoT, 5G, Big Data, AR/VR, AI, Robotics, Smart Cities Solutions, Fintech, HealthTech, Autonomous Cars, Cyber Security, AgriTech, Open Source Technology, amongst others. Cisco as a service provider seeking to thrive in the new era of digitization, big data, 5G, and IoT, Cisco needed to refocus on its priorities from connectivity expansion to service agility, from capital expenditure (CapEX) reduction to operating expenses (OpEX) reduction, and from network quality to customer experience.

Analysis –

Cisco aimed to showcase its new products and gain digital visibility with an accurate target audience. We also designed the Cisco stall so that more footfalls were expected than other competitors’ stalls. Cisco received more than anticipated responses at booths, and the customers tremendously appreciated the demos and dignitaries who visited the stall.
